The
EINDOS-EB550
is a highly complex ETX board with the functionalities of a embeded
motherboard.
It is equipped with a Pentium compatible CPU, 32Mbytes up to 256MBytes
SDRAM memory capacity via SoDIMM144, PCI and ISA bus,and additional
peripheral devices,such as 2 serial interfaces,one printer interface,
floppy, LAN, audio input and output, three USB
interfaces,keyboard/mouse,
CompactFlash, CRT, TFT and two IDE connections. |

The
power supply of the hardware module is effected over the ETX header
strip. Only 5 volt ¡À 5% of voltage are necessary for the operation of
this hardware module. In order to use the ATX functionalities, an
additional suspend voltage of 5 volt ¡À 5% must be attached.
The 3,3 volt
lying close to the ETX-connector X1 are generated on the board and can
be loaded with maximum 500 mA. Do not in any case connect the 3,3 volt
of the ETX-connector with an external 3,3 volt power supply unit.

On
the EINDOS EB550 had soldered memories as well as SoDIMM144 memory
modules are used. These memory modules are typically employed in
notebooks. Because of the high complexity it is possible, that for
mechanical reasons not all kinds of memory modules can be employed.
Please ask your distributor for recommended memory modules.
With SoDIMM modules and OnBoard SDRAMs which are available at present, a
memory extension of 32MB up to 512MB is possible.
All
timing parameters for the different makes and stages of extension are
automatically set through the BIOS. It is therefore not necessary to
make manual settings in the BIOS setup in this regard. |
