EINDOS-PB550
is a highly complex PC/104 board with the functionalities of a embeded
Module.
It is equipped with a SiS552 Pentium MMX Compatible 133 to 250 MHz CPU, 32Mbytes up to
256MBytes Soldered DRAM, PCI and ISA bus,and additional
peripheral devices, such as 4 serial interfaces, one printer interface,
floppy, LAN, , 2 USB
interfaces,keyboard/mouse,
CompactFlash, CRT, TFT
and two IDE connections. |

The
power supply of the hardware module is effected either over the PC104
header strip or via a power connector which is provided for the power
supply.Only 5 volt ¡À 5% of voltage are necessary for the operation of
this hardware module. The tensions which are additionally indicated on
the power connector are not required on the hardware module. These
tensions are provided through the PC104 bus for possibly existing PC104
devices.

The
CPU is integrated in the SiS552. This CPU is a x86 compatible processor.
Concerning his performance category the processor is comparable to a
Pentium MMX from Intel.The
EINDOS-PB550 Board is
delivered with hard soldered SDRAM. SDRAMs of different makes are
employed. The RAMs are organised in a 16Bit wide range, a memory
extension of 32MB up to 256MB is therefore possible.All timing
parameters for the different makes and stages of extension are
automatically set through the BIOS. It is therefore not necessary to
make manual settings in the BIOS setup in this regard. |

compact flash holder type II is provided on the EINDOS-550 board. All
commercial compact flash cards including Micro Drivers can be operated
with this holder. These cards are approached in the ATA modus and they
can therefore be responded like normal hard disks.The compact flash card
is run as master device on the first IDE controller. If the compact
flash card is stuck, only one further slave device can be run on that
IDE connector. |
